First United to End Homelessness Mural

Renowned local artist Brian Peterson designed our first mural. Mr. Peterson’s stunning and impactful work has garnered praise throughout the country as both “eye-opening” and “humanizing.” In addition to his work as an artist he is the founder of Faces of Santa Ana, an organization dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness through art and creativity.

The mural adorns the exterior sides of one of the campus buildings at First United Methodist Church of Costa Mesa, a historic church with a well-known presence in Orange County since 1912. The church generously donated public space for the mural.

We encourage you to go and visit the mural! While you are there be sure to snap a photo, share it on your social media platforms and use the #UnitedMuralsOC hashtag to keep the conversation going about solutions for homelessness.

Additional murals in the series will be displayed proudly around the county to serve as a catalyst for change to inspire every citizen to be a part of the solution to end homelessness in Orange County.
