Empowered By Orange County United Way

A Place to Call Home Fundraising Campaign

Will you help us end homelessness for Orange County families and individuals?

Our United to End Homelessness℠ team is working diligently to house hundreds of Orange County households via WelcomeHomeOC℠. We need your help to ensure these families and individuals have a place to call home.

The Goal

Goal

Ending homelessness for 630 OC individuals and families

Funds Leveraged

Funds

$12.4 million

committed for this effort, funding case management and other supportive services

Funds Still Needed

Needed

$6,300 per household x 630

to cover essentials such as security deposits, moving expenses and basic furnishings

The Gap

Help us close the $4 million gap

Your gift will help cover essentials for our neighbors such as:

  • security deposits
  • moving expenses
  • basic furnishings
  • case management
  • supportive services

Time is of the essence as these residents must be housed before their housing vouchers expire. If housing vouchers go unused or expire, it creates even more challenges as we fight to end homelessness in Orange County

Consider making a donation or submit your pledge to help end homelessness for local households and create lasting change that will make our community a better place for everyone.

A Place to Call Home

Your Gift Will Help Support a Proven Program

WelcomeHomeOC has helped house nearly 600 Orange County residents, including 100 Veterans.

“When United Way helped me find a home, they turned a very desperate situation into a happy and joyful one.”

Stephanie, WelcomeHomeOC program beneficiary

When Stephanie’s husband lost his job, they lost their home and then separated. The 67-year-old grandmother was battling chronic health conditions and hospital stays alone, and she ended up in a homeless shelter. Orange County United Way’s WelcomeHomeOC program turned life around for Stephanie, who now lives in a stable and safe apartment in Tustin.
